Maria resides in Houston, Texas where the winters are mild and the summers are scalding. Although she has always loved the heat and warmth, Maria was born in Billings, Montana where she was homeschooled by her Grandma, Betty Ard, until the 5th grade. Her Grandma not only taught her how to read, write and do basic math, she introduced her to yoga and painting. Maria's Grandpa was an incredibly crafty man and would make wooden canvases for her to paint on. When Maria was 9 years old she entered one of her paintings into the Montana State Fair. She painted some trees and a lake on one of the wooden canvases her grandpa made and won 1st place for her class grade.

Maria has had many interests throughout the years including yoga, art and fitness. She joined the Marine Corps at age 21 where she became very consumed with her fitness journey. After she got out of the military in 2014 she went on to get her degree in Advertising and Design at the Art Institute. While going to an art school she made her living teaching group fitness and yoga classes. In school most of her creative work was done digitally, but the handy work of painting was always her favorite form of art.

After several years of different jobs, life's ups and downs and an especially weird year of 2020, Maria has finally decided to pursue her dream of building her own business out of her own art and creations.
